David Humphreys brings over 25 years of experience in construction law, business transactions, healthcare law, and complex litigation. ​A graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law and a former CPA with KPMG, David offers clients a rare combination of legal and financial insight. In addition to representing owners, contractors, and insurers in construction and coverage disputes, he has advised healthcare organizations on regulatory compliance, risk management, contract matters, and operational strategy.

His experience as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for a regional energy and transportation company further deepened his understanding of high-stakes, highly regulated industries—including healthcare. He regularly serves as outside general counsel to businesses navigating complex legal and operational challenges.

David is nationally recognized for his work in insurance law and is a frequent speaker at industry events such as the ABA Forum on Construction Law and the NAHB International Builders’ Show. He is admitted to practice in all courts in Mississippi and Alabama, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court and multiple federal appellate courts.
